Situated in Aberdeenshire, Drum Castle is near Drumoak. It’s one of Scotland’s oldest tower houses. Some oak trees in the Old Wood of Drum date back to the 1700s. Drum Castle also has an exquisite chapel, built in the 1500s. It’s an idyllic place to relax amid the heady scent of The Garden of Historic Roses.

Also in Aberdeenshire you will find an unusual pinkish harled castle, called Craigievar.
